Compliance Enhancement and Default Management

Dear Colleagues –

Passing along this information from former RMASFAA President and long-time friend of the association, John Gritts.  As many of you may be aware, John continues to work on behalf of students within the Department of Education’s FSA Minority-Serving and Under-Resourced Schools Division.  A two-day training session will be held in Denver at the Regional Training Facility at the Cesar Chavez Building (13th & Speer Blvd.) in Denver on June 14th and 15th.  John will be co-facilitating the training with Sarah Angilello, also of the Dept. of ED.

Registration is free (please note that you must register for each day) and open to all institutions, but seating is limited.  Questions regarding the training may be directed to john.gritts@ed.gov or sarah.angilello@ed.gov

Best,

Joe Donlay, RMASFAA President

Dear President/Chancellor:

The U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid Minority-Serving and Under-Resourced Schools Division (MSURSD) is pleased to announce the two-day workshop series,

Who should attend the training?

Because meeting compliance goals in the delivery of Title IV aid requires a proactive institutional approach, we encourage bursars, registrars, and financial aid, fiscal affairs, and student accounts staff to attend the training.

Early FAFSA Submission/FSA Reporting Requirements/Best Practices for Building a Collaborative Team/Federal Updates.

Day Two – Topics

What is Default Management/CDR Appeal and Challenge Processes/Borrower Repayment Options/How to Interpret CDR Reports/MSURSD Financial Literacy Tool Kit
